Some teas are comforting.
Others feel almost dreamlike.
Organic Osmanthus Oolong belongs somewhere in between.
Built on a delicate Iron Goddess of Mercy oolong and gently enhanced with fragrant osmanthus blossoms, this tea feels soft, floral, and quietly luminous. The first sip carries the fresh elegance of lightly oxidized oolong—orchid florals, buttery texture, and the brightness of spring greens—followed by the unmistakable sweetness of osmanthus flowers, often compared to apricot, honey, and warm stone fruit.
The result is a tea that feels graceful without fragility.
Floral, but grounded.
Elegant, but deeply comforting.
It is the kind of tea that slows the atmosphere around you.
Origin & History
At the heart of this tea is Tie Guanyin (鐵觀音), also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy—one of China’s most treasured oolong teas.
Originally from Anxi in Southern Fujian Province, Tieguanyin has been celebrated for generations for its floral aroma, smooth body, and remarkable balance between freshness and depth.
While Anxi is considered the birthplace of Iron Goddess oolong, finding tea grown with sustainable organic practices has become increasingly difficult in the region.
Through trusted relationships in Huang Shan, this tea was sourced from an organic garden in San Mi, roughly 250 kilometers inland from Anxi, on mountainous land at around 500 meters above sea level.
Far removed from industrial centers, the garden produces teas with exceptional softness, clarity, and natural expression.
To this already elegant oolong, fragrant osmanthus flowers are added—a blossom long cherished in Chinese tea culture for its delicate fruit-like aroma and naturally comforting sweetness.
Together, they create a tea that feels timeless.
How It Is Made
The base of this tea is a lightly oxidized modern-style Tieguanyin.
After harvest, the leaves are gently withered and lightly oxidized to preserve their bright floral character and creamy texture. This lighter oxidation style creates a tea that feels greener, fresher, and more aromatic than darker-roasted Tieguanyin.
The leaves are then carefully rolled, allowing them to slowly unfurl during steeping and release their layered flavour over multiple infusions.
Fragrant osmanthus flowers are blended with the tea to naturally enhance its floral profile without overpowering the oolong itself.
The result is balance.
The flowers lift the tea rather than cover it.
And that restraint is what makes it beautiful.
