This matcha is harvested and produced from spring buds and tender young tea leaves. Our matcha tea plants are grown in partial sunlight (i.e. they are covered with a canopy) for a few weeks each spring, which boosts the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves, thereby increasing the concentration of anti-oxidants.
After harvest, the tea is meticulously ground into very fine particles and shipped to Two Hills, where we keep it in a temperature-controlled room for optimal quality and freshness!
Origin
Wuyi, Yixing, China

Is it really matcha?
Well... no! Traditional green matcha is made from micro-milled green tea flakes, also known as tencha.
Blue matcha, on the other hand, is made from 100% micro-milled butterfly pea flowers! The result is an ultra-fine, whiskable, vibrant blue powder, hence the common name 'Blue Matcha'!
Generously scented with a bergamot oil that's truly special, sourced from Calabria, Italy and cold-pressed into liquid gold.
This deliciously aromatic, citrusy, sunny, and pleasant oil transforms our blue matcha into an unbelievably fragrant treat.
A visual and gustatory delight almost too beautiful to consume. Almost.

Each pearl unfurls in your cup, releasing a delicate symphony of floral notes and a hint of sweetness that lingers on your palate. With every sip, immerse yourself in the soothing sensation of handcrafted tea, a true testament to the artistry and elegance of nature's finest offerings.
Origin & History
Jasmine tea is one of the most highly prized treats in Northern China and (of course), Fujian Province in particular. This fragrant brew is, however, not easy to handcraft.
These jasmine pearls are crafted using the traditional method:
- First, the organic, early spring tea leaves are carefully processed into green tea. They are lightly steamed to prevent oxidization, then gently rolled into beautiful 'pearls' to be carefully stored until the late summer harvest of jasmine blossoms.
- Once the jasmine blossoms are ready, they are blended and piled together with the tea leaves and left overnight, allowing the delicate flavour of the jasmine to scent the leaves. This process is repeated until the tea artisan is satisfied with the aroma of the tea.

This is a lightly oxidized oolong with notes of flowers, poached leafy greens, and a buttery finish.
While there are varying levels of oxidization available for this tea, from very green (flowery flavour) to highly oxidized (ideally charcoal fired, and much warmer in energy), this particular batch is of a modern style, and therefore more lightly oxidized.
Origin & History
Tie Guanyin (Iron Guanyin, or Buddhist Goddess of Mercy | 鐵觀音) is one of the most popular oolong teas in China. This famous style of oolong tea is originally from Anxi, in Southern Fujian Province, and is one of the most treasured teas in Guangdong (previously known as Canton).
While Anxi is known as the birthplace of Iron Goddess, we had long been unsuccessful in finding an organic garden that we would be proud to source tea from.
Since the area is quite famous, too many farms practice an intensive kind of agriculture that is not considered sustainable.
Through some good friends in Huang Shan, we learned of an organic tea garden in San Mi, around 250km inland from Anxi. The garden is located on mountainous land at 500m (~1500ft) above sea level, well away from large industrial populations. This garden farms some very tasty organic tea!

Pu Er is, simply put, fermented tea that comes from Yunnan Province, China.
While you can get fermented tea from many regions, it should only be called Pu Er if it is made in Yunnan (just like sparkling wine can only be champagne if it is produced in Champagne, France).
Pu Er tea has a rich, earthy flavour unlike any other.
If a great-tasting tea isn’t enough on its own, for centuries the Chinese have attributed a wealth of health and digestive benefits to this tea, and recently, some celebrity North American health experts are recognizing the same.

Unit price perDiscover the comforting embrace of our Organic Morimachi Genmaicha, a harmonious blend of bright, steamed green tea and roasted rice.
Sourced from the foothills of Mount Fuji, this tea offers a unique, toasty flavour that is both soothing and invigorating. Each sip evokes a sense of warmth and tranquility, transporting you to a peaceful moment of reflection and calm.
Perfect for any time of day (if you aren't caffeine sensitive), let the balanced richness of Genmaicha be your companion in finding serenity and comfort.
Origin & History
Genmaicha was originally created to make use of lower-quality sencha, as the roasted rice softened any astringency.
In this case, we're using a sencha that is delicious on its own, because we love the flavour of a high-quality genmaicha.
This particular batch of Genmaicha comes from the foothills of Mount Fuji.

Bright, grassy, and oh-so-refreshing — this pure Sencha is a celebration of Japanese tea tradition. Steamed, rolled, and dried with care, it’s a vibrant green tea that invites stillness with every sip.
🌱 Cultivar: Yabukita — Japan’s most beloved cultivar, developed by tea pioneer Sugiyama Hikosaburo. Exceptionally versatile and perfect for loose leaf teas, it offers a beautifully balanced cup with every steep.
🌿 Origin: A thoughtful blend of two regional harvests — Shizuoka, which brings grassy, vibrant top notes, and Kagoshima, known for deeper umami and natural sweetness.
💨 Process: Asamushi or “light steaming” (25–30 seconds), a gentle approach that preserves clarity and brightness in the leaf.
🌾 Fun fact: Japanese-style green tea is steamed (not pan-fired like many Chinese teas), giving it that rich green colour and ocean-kissed flavour.
